CATERING SECTION VACANCY: Kitchen Porter
The School’s purpose-built refectory and auditorium is now open and we are seeking a Kitchen Porter to ensure that the new catering areas are kept clean and hygienic.
He/she will wash (by hand or machine) crockery, cutlery and utensils, clean appliances and equipment, dispose of kitchen waste, sweep/mop floors, organise linen laundry, collect materials, wash and peel food, assist with deliveries to the store room, maintain a well organised storage area and provide support and cover for the Catering Assistants. In summary, applicants for this post should have kitchen cleaning experience, and a knowledge of hygiene standards and infection risks. The ability to work in a tidy organised manner and follow instructions well will be essential and the successful applicant should have high safety standards and a helpful, pleasant manner, and be reliable, flexible, and able to show initiative. (A person specification is attached.)
The normal term time hours for the post will be 12 – 3 pm Monday to Friday during term times. However, the new facilities offer scope for the catering service to expand and we expect there to be opportunities to work additional hours, including outside normal School hours and during holiday periods, in order to provide out of hours catering for events, pupils’ activities and community use.

FACILITIES SECTION VACANCY: Minibus Driver
The School has a vacancy for a Driver to operate a School minibus on a regular daily schedule to transport pupils to and from School and on trips.
The normal working hours are 6.30 am to 9 am and 3.30 pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday during term times.
Candidates must have a PCV or PSV driving licence, excellent driving skills and high safety standards. They should also be trustworthy and reliable, and have a calm, patient and courteous manner and good communication skills.
Ideally, candidates will have a sound knowledge of the South East Wales area/roads.
