Newport Trail - Wednesday 15th May What a great time we all had in Newport yesterday and even the weather behaved itself for a change! A lot of time was spent in Newport Cathedral completing a quiz on the features of a Christian place of worship before walking, as the Chartists did, down Stow Hill to the Westgate Hotel. Following a toilet stop in the Riverfront Theatre we were invited to go on a tour of the builing which was an unexpected surprise! Chartist weapons were viewed in the museam after lunch and then before we knew it were we heading back to school. A big thank you to those parents who so kindly and willing gave up their free time to accompany us....we could not have done it without you!
