Written by our Junior pupils, with Junior School issues in mind.
Junior Journal began in January, 2007, intended to enrich the curriculum for pupils who enjoyed team work, media, English and I.C.T. The first issue was published in February, 2007 and caused quite a stir in the media, featuring in the South Wales Argus and best of all, the front page of the Times Educational Supplement.
Articles within Junior Journal are often based upon house events and other recent events of interest within the junior school. All junior pupils are encouraged to submit topical articles, for example, a review of a holiday destination, or an extra-curricular activity which they have participated in.
Issues of Junior Journal are published three times throughout the academic year, at the end of each term. Pupils work hard to discuss ideas for each issue and to report on them as the term progresses. They enjoy working towards a deadline and submitting articles electronically, onto a classified Junior Journal user area, for editing.

Issue 16 of Junior Journal will be published at Easter.
We are currently preparing and brainstorming ideas for Issue 16 and are also thinking of ideas for Newsround's Press Pack Video Reports.
Our Junior Journalists for this issue are: Daniel Nitschmann-Roberts and Lucas Wynne from year 6 and Lucy James, Olivia Nutt, Abeer Rashid, Jude Burton, Joss Church, Adam Hansa, Arif Hussain, Tomos Robinson and Joseph Evans from year 5, who have some super ideas for the next issue.
Here we are relaxing after the publication of Issue 15. (It's a hard life!)
Here is a great report about a recent year 4 trip to Llancaiach Fawr, written by Piers Nihan-Bowen.
