Cookery - January, 2012
Mrs Francis, a school volunteer, is running a series of cookery workshops for all year groups in the Junior department. We are making use of our practical room facilities and enjoyed preparing and cooking Bruschetta for ourselves. Look how much fun we had!

Cog Moors, November 2012
Year 4 had a wonderful time at Welsh Water's waste water treatment works at Dinas Powys. Educating children about using water efficiently is so important to Welsh Water that they employ a teacher on secondment, who is based in a purpose built classroom on site. Here, the children can participate in experiments and activities linked to specific topic areas and are also taken on a guided tour of the site, learning how our dirty water is cleaned and returned to our rivers and seas.

September, 2011 - Shadows Investigation
Year four took advantage of the sunny weather and carried out shadow investigations on the school playground. The result was a playground covered in numerous human sun dials and some very chalky blazers!
