Mrs Elson and Mrs Morgan welcome you to year 5

An exciting new phase of school! Still the Juniors, but a very different day to day experience! Year 5 still have their own classroom, which reflects the myriad of activities and studies that they undertake, but now, they have a myriad of teachers too! The specialist subject teachers each bring something different to their teaching in the classroom. This really helps to broaden the children's minds and how they interact with adults.

The pupils love this transition from classroom to subject based teaching. In this year, pupils also go to specially equipped classrooms, to experience D.T, science, music, art and IT.

Mrs Elson and Mrs Morgan are the year 5 form tutors who take care of the children’s pastoral welfare and register them every day.  Any non-urgent messages should be conveyed to year 5 form tutors, via the homework planner.  Please ask your child to remember to show the message to their form tutor.

As the year progresses, confidence is noticeably boosted as the pupils become more organised and independent in their approach to learning.
