We are extremely proud of our House system, which is based around three Houses for our pupils to support. In blue we have Caradog, in red we have Dyfrig and sporting a rather fetching yellow, we have Gwynog.
Each child is pleased to wear their house colours during our varied competitions. Said events are led by our House Captains for each house, with the help of our Sports Captains where appropriate.
These Captains take great pride in being the most enthusiastic, supportive and occasionally downright loud leaders as they exhort their team-mates to greater heights of endeavour. All pupils are encouraged to participate in a variety of competitions. These are sometimes of a musical nature, vocal and instrumental.
Sometimes artistic talents are developed, with many avenues explored. Aeronautical skills are also encouraged as our Paper-Plane competition demonstrates. Of course, we also have many sporting events, from swimming, to athletics to the children’s particular favourite, Cross-Country. Performing arts are also catered for with public speaking and dance proving very popular.
On a day to day basis we also offer House points linked to our merit awards. Merit cards are issued to pupils in recognition of good conduct in the classroom and around the school. We encourage our children to participate enthusiastically in a variety of areas and in an atmosphere of mutual support and enjoyment.
This super new blog will be where you can come to find the latest results and opinions from our new House Captains.
