The sense of community is strong at Rougemont. As we enter our 100th year in 2026, we have seen many pupils pass through our gates with many describing Rougemont as “like family”.
Pupil wellbeing and happiness is the bedrock of all we do at Rougemont. With a strong, secure foundation, we believe pupils can achieve their goals, to be curious about their learning journey and the world beyond.
We believe creating the ‘who’ not the ‘what’ gives our pupils a Pathway that recognises not only their academic achievements but the softer skills required to create and sustain a meaningful and fulfilling life beyond the School gates.

We want every pupil to succeed. Success looks different to each individual and individuality is valued here at Rougemont.
We recognize our family feel, delivering first class education to small classes in a safe environment … our holistic approach and our recognition of each individual pupil’s skillset, pathway and passion.
We are a small, non-selective school, with a desire to identify, encourage and harness each child’s potential. Being non-selective is something we are proud of. But make no mistake our results are still the best in South East Wales. The sense of aspiration, family, respect, with parents, pupils and staff together creating something quite magical.
CURIOSITY TO LEARN AND GROW
Rougemont Milestones – a real focus on life skills – curiosity, resilience and independence and ultimately our bespoke Pathways Programme – the culmination of academic outcomes alongside key life skills, combining to give our students the keys to success as they leave the school gates … a true PATHWAY.
