ROUGEMONT PRODUCTION SHOWREEL
DRAMA
The Drama department at Rougemont is a thriving hub of creativity. Led by Mrs Nepean, Head of Drama, our flagship productions across the School have put Rougemont on the map as one of the strongest performing arts providers in the region. Home to an incredible 500 seat auditorium complete with full-sized orchestra pit and sound and lighting systems, our Rougemont auditorium sets the scene for our West End standard productions.
This accolade was further cemented when, in September 2024, Rougemont won the rights from Disney and MTI International to be the first School in Wales in perform the full Broadway version of Frozen the Musical. An incredible five-night run staged in February 2025 saw our pupils perform the Welsh premier with two alternating principal casts as well as six surrounding primary schools who also performed alongside our pupils.
Previous productions include Phantom of the Opera, Singin’ in the Rain, Les Misérables, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the Seniors with our Juniors also performing full Broadway versions of Shrek and The Little Mermaid in their productions during the summer terms.
Fast forward to this September and our Disney trilogy comes to its conclusion with the beloved Beauty and the Beast.
This production will take place in February 2026 and will mark the School’s centenary. For the time ever, the Seniors and Juniors will perform the same production over five nights with two different casts.
The Seniors will perform on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights, and the Juniors will perform their version on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
