Enrichment sessions take place every fortnight. They enable us to gather pupils together to hold events such as House competitions, special assemblies, or perhaps to simply have extended time with a mixture of different year groups to investigate a specific topic, or to have time to complete an assessment or investigation without interruption. Enrichment sessions are meticulously planned, and often involve outreach into the community, or pupils going offsite to experience an aspect of the ‘real world’. We feel that they have added a valuable dimension to our provision this year.
We thoroughly enjoy facilitating our varied, interesting and absorbing PHSE and Enrichment programme, and see the vital importance of bringing these skills and knowledge to our pupils. In return, we see how our pupils embrace tasks and challenges. Every year brings changes, and we draw on resources from staff, the wider community and outreach into designated PHSE / Life Skills packages to help us remain topical and current.
