FORMER PUPIL EVE MAKES WAVES ON THE INTERNATIONAL ROWING TEAM

ROUGEMONT ALUMNI ON TRACK FOR TEAM GB ROWING

Eve Wright is making waves in the world of rowing with her sights set on Paris 2024

As a keen netballer, Eve was talent spotted by Team GB Rowing in her Sixth Form years at Rougemont and has since worked tirelessly in her pursuit of making the squad all throughout her time studying sport at University of Gloucester.

After placing twice at the British Indoor Championships in her first year of rowing in 2018, there has been no turning back.  After a very static 2020, Eve competed at the Metropolitan Regatta, Marlow Regatta, Women’s Henley and most recently qualified her Quad group for Henley Royal Regatta between 11th and 15th August.

Eve made her way down the course at Henley-on-Thames with hundreds of other boat categories and international crews – what an experience!

The season wasn’t over for her just yet as she gained her first Great British racing All-In-Once at the British Rowing Beach Sprints and made the ‘new and upcoming’ squad seeing as the discipline is quite new.

It’s a very exciting time for Eve and we congratulate her on such an amazing achievement.  We look forward to sharing updates with you.
