Welcome from the director of sport
As a department our mission is to provide positive and enjoyable experiences of physical activity for all our pupils, from Nursery to Sixth Form. We aim to promote personal development, participation and performance in order to foster good habits into our pupils’ lives in and outside of school and beyond.
Our dedicated team of professionals aims to provide opportunities for all pupils to develop the curiosity to participate and the independence to perform in sport.
We do this through an engaging curriculum and extra-curricular programme focused around our SWEAT principle:
S – Strength and Conditioning – building physical health and fitness
W – Wellbeing – looking after body and mind through healthy habits
E – Expression – showing creativity, emotion and personality through sport
A – Attitude – maintaining positivity, focus and determination
T – Teamwork – working together to achieve shared goals
‘SWEAT is about building health and fitness, caring for wellbeing, expressing yourself, having the right attitude, and working together to succeed’
Mr Jack Steadman | Director of Sport
